The ND Damper is constructed using Heavy Duty 0.80 extruded aluminum.

Overlapping parallel blade design insures low leakage.

Designed to operate at static pressures up to 1.5 w.c.

The UL Listed Motor Actuator is a 24 vac 3 wire power open/ power close type.

The motor actuator is rated at 18lbs. of torque. Superior to low torque Spring type motors.

The Motor Actuator housing has a NEMA1 Rating.

Integrated End-Stop Adjustment allows for a percentage of Relief Air (Leakage) to be set when the damper is powered to closed and/or you may set a maximum open position as well.

Bright green and red LEDs Indicate damper open and closed position.

Starting with the development of the first zoning dampers and registers in the 1950s to today, with exclusive Plug & Play dampers  Zonefirst has led the way in excellence and continued innovation.
ZONEFIRST is the first company that successfully developed and marketed HVAC Zoning Systems back in the 1950s and is today a leading manufacturer of HVAC zone dampers and zoning systems. Several other major zoning companies are in business due to ZONEFIRST.
It was in the mid to late 1950s when Richard Foster developed the first automatic motorized dampers, registers and difusers that were thermostatically controlled. He marketed these products under the trade name Zone-A-Trol with another company when in 1964 he founded Trolex Corporation and the start of the well known trade name Trol-A-Temp. In 1999 the Trol-A-Temp brand was acquired by Honeywell.
Since that time, Trolex has continued to manufacture zone dampers for a number of OEMs. In 2004 Trolex re-entered the HVAC market as ZONE-A-TROL and later the ZONEFIRST tradename. This new name signifies the many firsts the company has developed in the HVAC industry. We were the first company to develop automatic dampers, registers, and diffusers for zoning, centralized zone controllers, the first zoning system to feature normally open dampers and the first to zone heat pumps in the early 1970s

Description of the SBD Motor Actuator: The Smart Bypass Motor Actuator is a digital differential pressure controller with an integrated PI loop and intelligent software. The Smart Bypass Damper is the only industry bypass solution that can automatically measure, monitor and maintain the designed operating static pressure of the HVAC system in all modes of operation. The Smart Bypass Damper includes all of the accessories needed for field installation. No measuring instruments are required.

The rectangular EzySlide dampers have the mounting plate and actuator mounted on either the side or bottom of the damper. If the mounting plate and actuator is on the longer dimension the damper is referred to as a bottom-mount damper. The URD series of round motorized dampers are a double layered blade design with an integrated poron sealing gasket. The superior design insures long life and zero maintenance. URD dampers are easy to install, easy to wire up and come with a 5 year warranty. The URD damper is constructed of heavy 24 ga galvanized steel with factory rolled stiffening beads. The nylon bearings and ThermoTuff drive shafts insure smooth, quiet operation and provide a thermal barrier to the motor. The URD is designed to operate reliably at static pressures up to 1.5 in-WC. The UL listed MA-ND5 actuator is a 24 VAC three wire power open/power close type-rated at 18 in-lb of torque. It includes an integrated wiring terminal block and a NEMA 1 rated housing. The MA-ND5 motor features bright green and red LED's which correspond to the open and closed position of the blade. The motor also includes adjustable end stops for Min/Max blade position, that allows for field balancing of the full or minimum cfm flow, into a particular zone or area. The position LED's will illuminate regardless of the end stop positions.
