Bussmann E356-63

Item#:
E356-63
Manufacturer Item:
ECSR-70
Manufacturer:
COOPER BUSSMAN LLC
These fuses are recommended for AC power distribution system mains, feeders and branch circuits having inductive loads motors, transformers or non inductive loads lighting, heating where the available short circuit current does not exceed 200000 RMS symmetrical amp. These dual element, time delay fuses have minimum industry standard time delay of 10 sec at 5 times the fuse rating 8 sec. minimum for 250 VAC , 30 amp and less. The time delay characteristics of these fuses typically allows them to be sized closer to the running ampacity of inductive loads to reduce cost and provide improved overcurrent protection. These fuses will override normal equipment current surges to reduce unnecessary fuse openings. They are the most popular fuses used in the industry and the most economical for most applications, especially motors and transformers. They have moderate current limitation.
  • Provides motor overload, ground fault and short-circuit protection
  • Permits the use of smaller and less costly switches, the time-delay feature makes it possible to use fuse amp ratings which are much smaller than those of non time delay uses
  • Considerable cost saving occurs by permitting the use of smaller size switches, panels and fuses themselves
  • Provides a higher degree of short circuit protection greater current-limitation in circuits in which surge currents or temporary overloads occur
  • Gives motor running back up protection to motors without extra costs
  • Helps protect motors against burnout from single phasing on three phase systems
  • Simplifies and improves blackout prevention
  • Dual-element fuses can be applied in circuits subject to temporary motor overloads and surge currents to provide both high performance, short circuit and overload protection
  • True dual-element construction allows sizing of 125% FLA for motor backup protection
  • Superior overload and cycling capabilities
  • Current limiting provides component short circuit protection
